Grapes are hand-harvested during the last weeks of April. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. After maceration, 50% of wine is aged for eight months in French and American (50/50) oak barrels.TASTING NOTES
Deep crimson red color with blackberry and plums framed by mocha, vanilla and cedar. This wine has structure, depth and fine texture with currant and black cherry fruit notes. Flavors of toast and mocha round out the lingering finish. Serve with red meats, game, hearty stews, rich pasta entrées, pork tenderloin and hard cheeses.
