Gerin’s facilty is located in the heart of the vineyards of Côte-Rôtie near the village of Ampuis in the hamlet of Verenay.
Domaine Jean-Michel Gerin was created in 1983 with vines inhertited from his father and his grandfather.
Today the estate covers nearly 12Ha, and both sons Michael and Alexis have joined Team Gerin. The adventure continues.

100% Syrah

Vinification
Hand harvested (tractors can’t negotiate the terraces.) picked by descending downhill with a basket strapped behind. Macerated for 30 days and then aged in 100% new oak for 24 months.

Color
Inky black in color.

Bouquet
Nose of bacon fat, smoke and spice.

Taste
Huge mouthfeel, a wine with power and sustainability. Ages gracefully for 10+ years from vintage date.
