A family-owned Domaine spanning five generations, Alquier is one of the best-known names in the Languedoc appellation of Faugères. Jean-Michel, son of Gilbert, whose name the domaine is still known by, is the winemaker. The wines are very impressive, and must rank at or near the top of the appellation on this showing.

Vinification
100% grey schist
Direct pressing, low temperature fermentation (3 weeks).
Suspension of the lees for four months.
Cold precipitation and bottling in December.

Taste
The palate is bright, full and spicy with nice freshness and a mineral richness. A delicious wine that’s full of interest.
