Domaine Antonin Guyon is one of the most prestigious estates in the Côte d’Or, as well as one of the largest family-owned wineries in the region. Started in the 1960s by Antonin Guyon with parcels of land in Gevrey and Meursault, the domaine is controlled and operated today by Antonin’s sons, Dominique and Michel. This huge 47 hectare property now produces wines of impeccable quality from 15 different appellations, including some of the most renowned villages of the region. It is also a firm favorite of wine lovers and connoisseurs worldwide, particular for its exceptional range of Premier and Grands Crus.
Appellation: Corton Grand Cru Contrôlée
Corton is the only red Grand Cru in the Cote de Beaune and possesses several named lieu-dir or vineyard sites all classified Grand Cru. The Clos du Roy parcel is located near the top of the Corton hill, facing due east. The soils here are clay and limestone.
100% Pinot Noir
Grapes are hand-harvested and then carried to the cellars in small boxes, where they are sorted upon arrival. Fermentation takes place for 20 days in open wooden vats at controlled temperature and with punching down. Aging takes place in French oak barrels, 50% of which are new.
Ruby red in color.
Aromas of black cherry and raspberry.
Very rich, concentrated and harmonious in the mouth. Elegant and pure, with very fine tannins and beautiful structure.
