On the 19th Century, M. Reyssié, who was the owner of a Clos of 14 hectares (vineyard surrounded with stone wall) turned his vineyards into Chardonnay. This clos has a few advantages: South facing slopes and a terroir of very deep clay (non-chalky soils). Today, the « Clos Reyssier » has become one of the most well-known climats of the Pouilly-Fuissé appellation.
Plot- based selection with vines which are over 40 years old on average.
