Created at the beginning of the 1890’s by Gustave Eiffel, the architect of the famous Eiffel Tower, this vineyard is one of the most beautiful properties in the Bordeaux Supérieur region. Château Lafite Monteil owes its name to the Lafite vineyard which dates from 1812. The exceptional quality of its soil gives this wine its unique character.
Gustave Eiffel had designed the winery covering a total size of 12,000 square feet. The vat room is composed of stainless steel tanks and state of the art equipment including a new thermos-regulation system.

60% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon

Fermentation in stainless steel tanks with temperature controlled. Maceration for an average period of three weeks being decided following daily tasting. Gentle pneumatic pressing. Aging in stainless steel tanks for 12 to 16 months.

Red ruby color.

Flavor of red berries.

The tannins are fine and elegant. Long persistence in the mouth.
