Attracted by the location and her family lineage of five generations, Véronique Etienne decided to take it over ten years ago. The house is an imposing manor adjacent to farm buildings.
She has since fully immersed herself in the domaine for several reasons: a love of nature, a passion for terroir and its traditions, a need to put down roots, and a respect for the region’s cultural heritage.
Vineyard & winery are in their 2nd year of Bio conversion in order to make better wines and preserve the terroir.
60% Syrah, 25 % Carignan, 15% Grenache
A family property of 45 hectares situated in the Languedoc in the community of Saint Chinian at the North-West of Beziers. The men and women of the property worked to keep the marvelous heritage of landscapes, the soil and the value of the Languedoc’s culture.
Planted at the north of the appellation and leaning on the foothills of the Cevennes, the soil of La Dournie is mostly composed by schist, where wind and sun are the rulers of the game.
The vineyards surrounds the buildings of the exploitation, and the river Le Vernazobre is running across, which gives at one side a soil for the AOC in Coteaux and on the other side a soil more rich for the vins de Pays.
Deep red with purplish highlights.
Ripe fruits aromas, Smoky and peppery notes. Bright and fresh!
Almonds hazelnuts, dark berries and peppery notes, well balanced acidity. Full body wine.
